Community Proposals

Governance actions in Pi Protocol follow the Pi Improvement Proposal (PIP) process.
A PIP is a formal submission that proposes a specific change or upgrade to the protocol. This includes:

  • Adding a new vault or asset class
  • Adjusting fee percentages or emissions
  • Changing whitelist access
  • Allocating treasury funds
  • Upgrading a smart contract

PIP Lifecycle:

  • Drafting: A USPi holder writes and submits a PIP, outlining the change, rationale, and impact.
  • Review: The PIP is reviewed by the community, optionally discussed on forums or Discord.
  • Voting: The PIP enters a formal vote where USPi/sUSPi holders can vote “Yes” or “No”.
  • Execution: If passed, the proposal is executed on-chain without intermediaries.

This process ensures that every meaningful protocol change is community-driven, well-documented, and governed transparently.
